Tzedakah

Tzedakah often refers to charity.

Tzedakah is a Hebrew word that means “righteousness” or “justice” .

In Jewish tradition, tzedakah is a mitzvah, or good deed, that is a requirement for all Jews to help those in need. This can include acts of service, financial donations, or tangible goods. Tzedakah is different from the Western understanding of charity, as it is a form of social justice where the donor can benefit as much or more than the recipient.
